Items:

  • 1) Smoke alarms shall be listed in accordance with UL 217 dual sensor alarms utilizing ionization and photoelectrical sensors. Alarms shall be hard wired and interconnected when a power source is available. These alarms shall be installed in each sleeping room and on each additional story of the dwelling, including basements and habitable attics. -
  • 2) Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms shall be listed in accordance with UL 217 and UL 2034. Alarms shall be hard wired and interconnected when a power source is available. These alarms shall be installed outside each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms on each level. Battery operated Carbon Monoxide alarms are acceptable in conjunction with the ionization and photoelectric alarm. -
  • 3) Smoke alarms shall be replaced when the end-of-life signal activates or every 10 years from the date of manufacture, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer’s published instructions. Please follow items (1) and (2) listed above for installation of the smoke alarms. -

  • 6) Multi. Unit building common areas -- Common area Smoke detectors & Fire extinguishers, Exit & Emergency lights, Sprinkler systems annual testing, Fire alarm annual testing, Hydrant & building connections, Knox box keys. Elevator. - N/A
